Due to confusion that some administrators have had when submitting their board to the directory, thinking that these rules only applied to Proboards forum owners: Please note that the following rules apply to ALL boards seeking to advertise in the directory, regardless of whether they are proboards, invisionfree, zetaboards, or something else. ALL CONTENT ON ALL FORUMS SUBMITTED TO THE DIRECTORY NEEDS TO BE PG-13.
Intention
I'd been looking at various sites and directories and found it frustrating that although many of them specified PG-13 sites or below, there were still many R rated or M rated boards. This is an area for people to have their sites listed that comply with ProBoards terms of service. A site does not have to be ProBoards in order to be listed, but the content of the site must still comply with the ProBoards TOS. Please note that even if your forum is InvisionFree or something else, this rule still applies. I do not want ANY board in the directory with content over PG-13.
2. Therefore, your site must be in compliance with the ProBoards terms of service -- for a clearer specification of what that entails, see this thread: (even if your site is InvisionFree, I'm asking you to abide by these rules. Your forum host doesn't matter. I don't want any R rated forums in the directory.)

That means that any site (forum host does not matter -- yes, this applies to InvisionFree boards as well) wanting to be listed in the directory must not have ANY threads marked "Mature," it must not be an R, M, NC-17, or X board. It must NOT have any password protected boards that have this content on it. It also must not suggest or encourage or allow for Private Messages that M content is played out in. It must not have any hidden boards that are M.
3. If you wish to be listed in the directory, you are highly encouraged to put up our banner on your site, as is common for most directories. While registering here is not required, we highly recommend it. This is no longer a requirement, but it is highly encouraged because putting it up will encourage more people to come here, and thus, to get more exposure to your site.

General Rules
General Forum Interaction
Be polite. Do I really have to hammer out the details? No derogatory remarks about anyone or their genetic or national heritage, sex, religion, personal hygiene, lifestyle choices, etc.
No posting of personal information; including -but not limited to- full name, address, photographs of you and/or your family, bank information, etc. This is as much for your own safety as it is my overwhelming lack of interest.
No posting anything (pictures, video, text, or LINKS to such) explicitly violent or sexual. I reserve the right to make the final call on anything I feel is too violent or racy to remove it.
No making sexual or threatening remarks towards other members. No flaming. If you have a problem with someone, you come to me.
Please be literate. Check your spelling and grammar. No talking in code, be it chatchat, texttalk, or lolspeak. If I can manage it, so can you.
Avatars may be 100x100 pixels maximum. Signatures and Banners may be 200x600 pixels maximum.
There will be no swearing on this site. There is absolutely no reason to do so in a forum directory that caters to G to PG-13 sites.
Affiliation Exchange Specific Rules
You do not have to register for the Affiliate Exchange board, but you DO need to fill out this form:
You also must comply with the site rules (see above)
Please note that these rules apply to ALL forums seeking to be listed in the directory, regardless of forum host -- Proboards, InvisionFree, Zetaboards, etc. No exceptions will be made.
Edit: All of the parts in bold were added on Oct. 1 to clear up any confusion that people had in thinking that these rules only applied to forums hosted by Proboards. Rather, rules apply to all forums, regardless of host, fandom, etc.
