I see that you deleted my previous post, so I can only guess that that was for one of two reasons: 1. you were confused about where to advertise or 2. you didn't want to be part of the directory. If it was the latter, then feel free to delete this post as well.

I just wanted to apologize to you for the confusion.

I just want you to know that neither of these reasons are why your ad ended up deleted on going up in flames. I deleted your ad because I don't like leaving just a button when Advertising. I like potential members to be able to read what they're about to venture into. And for you to be able to do that on my site - leave a written ad, and then me not able to do that on your site is a little unfair from my point of view. If you were to have affiliated with us, then that would be fine, but a one way ad is not fair.

I'll be willing to affiliate with you if you would like and if you were to create a section for advertising in, without need of a button or a form, then I would be fine with that too, but as it stands I'm not a fan of your system and I really don't expect you to change it just because of one persons opinion. (Though I have to admit, I don't understand the difference between your directories and your affiliates apart from your affiliates are scrolling which gives passers through less time to view each one individually. They're better off being in the directory than an affiliate)

And here is my response to the points you listed:
1.) I changed the rules already regarding posting the button. It is no longer mandatory for a site to do so.

2.) The person that designed the skins for this page misunderstood what I meant and mixed up what I'd told him. I haven't gotten around to fixing that yet. I am thinking about either putting the affiliates at the bottom of the page, and making them all static or flipping it so that the directories one is scrolling while the affiliates are static.

3.) I am not prohibiting someone from posting their ad here. I do have a submission form, but not everyone uses it. Those who don't use it might not get their ad in the spot they want, but I'm not refusing to post people's ads who haven't filled out the form. The only ones that I'm not admitting into the directory are sites that allow for mature content. I'm not deleting them either. Rather, I'm giving them a chance to fix it so that they can be added into the directory.

I'm not a fan of having to fill out a form to post an ad. I don't put people through that on my site so why should I be put through that on other sites? Your rules aren't confusing but they are long and over thought. I don't want to read a bunch of rules when someone has advertised on my site. I want to just be able to get on with linking back, that's the way the system is supposed to work. You post on my site with no problems, and I post back on your site with no problems and unfortunately, that is not what is happening now. In my opinion you have over complicated the advertising process for your site and unless it gets fixed, I really don't want to be a part of your system.

If it ever changes to a more simple and straight forwards system then feel free to advertise on going up in flames again and also on going down in flames until then thanks for trying anyway.
