In the soul of each and every child and teenager, there is a dream that lives on. In most, this dream either disappears or becomes reality, developing them into the person they will be later on in their lives. While most of these desires are ever-changing, some have multiple dreams which never change, while others have one strong, outstanding dream that becomes the focus 0f their being.
These people whose dreams become strong enough are able to give birth to small beings known as Guardian Characters. Acting as somewhat of a guardian angel to these children and teens, they represent the dreams and desires of these people, often being referred to as their owners' would-be selves, or the person they want to be.
Then, there is the Embryo, an egg that can grant any wish. While most who own Guardian Characters know little to nothing about the Embryo, certain groups of people have heard of this egg's power and wish to harness it.
The GuardiansAside from these groups are multiple Soloists who also desire the Embryo, though they are not known to be in vast groups like the other three main factions.
Representing purity and protecting the Heart's Eggs of children, the Guardians are a group of elementary school students located at Seiyo Elementary. Acting as a student council made up of "students working for students", they are known as a stellar group within the school, often acting as role-models. If someone has a problem, they are able to go to the Guardians for help, and the Guardians will lend their aid in whatever way possible.
Easter
Under the guise of a multifaceted corporation, Easter Company is known for its ruthless methods of finding the Embryo. Their goal is to find the Embryo for their Lord and Master, who goes by the name of "Gozen". While Gozen's identity is unknown to all but Easter's Directer, Hoshina Kazuomi, many people, Shugo Owners and Non-Owners alike, are employed by the company in hopes of finding the Embryo. They will mercilessly turn children's Hearts Eggs into X-Eggs, a dangerous, sinister version of a Heart's Egg, in order to extract and find the Embryo.
Lorelai
Hidden as a clique of well-known high school students, Lorelai is a group that prefers to keep to themselves. While they can be ruthless against their rivals, they do not associate themselves openly with any of the other groups; however, they do stand for a relatively pure nature, and will attempt to save X-Eggs through whatever means they are able to. They desire the Embryo not just for one specific person, but for each member associated with Lorelai, in order for everyone to grant their wishes.

Shugo no Tama is a Shugo Chara roleplay based very loosely off of the Shugo Chara plot. You are not required to know the series in order to play; there is enough information provided by the staff for the plot at Shugo no Tama to be understood. You do not have to be a stellar roleplayer to participate, nor do you have to play a canon character. We are very accepting of original characters so long as the premise for the character makes sense and will fit easily within the Shugo Chara universe.
While there are only three factions currently mentioned in our advertisement, you are free to create your own groups of Shugo Owners which may band together. If your group makes a name for themselves, they may become known as one of the main factions on the forum!
Our only requirements are that you are able to write a paragraph per post of roughly 200 words or so [though more is always good!] and that you have fairly good grammar and spelling. We are always accepting of new members even if they are behind our requirements a small bit, and the staff is always willing to help roleplayers reach their potential.
While the actual Shugo Chara anime/manga tends to focus on the adventures of the Guardians and Hinamori Amu, the legendary girl with three Shugo Eggs and the possessor of the Humpty Lock, the canons will not be the focus of our plot! Original characters have just as much importance as a canon in our main plot, making everything even across the board.
