... but now a new, powerful enemy had risen.
[/right][/size]The Zodiac Senshi were an extra team of soldiers, who were meant to awaken if something were to happen to the guardians of the Solar System. This back-up was never needed, because every enemy that the Sol Senshi had faced were defeated without the need of the Zodiac Senshi. This team was left sleeping in their constellations, fully mature Sailor Crystals that were never given a body.
After Chaos put the world into a comatose state before the rise of Crystal Tokyo, it hid underground. It created a series of pathways under Crystal Tokyo called the Dark Catacombs and waited for an opportunity to strike. It found that opportunity in an eighteen-year-old boy, who envied the Royal Court for their power. Sensing the boy's jealousy Chaos led him into the catacombs, where it took control of his body. Now fueled by Chaos' power, this boy who began to call himself Shadow sought out the sleeping Star Seeds of the Zodiac Senshi.
Shadow stole the Star Seeds from their resting places and filled them with Chaos' energy, making them his soldiers. These new soldiers were more powerful than any of the enemies the senshi had faced before, and they had one mission: annihilate the senshi of Crystal Tokyo. Because the senshi have not fought in years, will they fall to this new threat? Will Earth be destroyed once again, but this time with no savior?
